Two major piano concertos from the classical repertoire of the 20th century - Prokofiev's 3rd and Bartok's 2nd; colorful masterpieces that literally ignite under the fingers of Lang Lang. To help us (re)discover this percussive and lush repertoire in the best conditions, the pianist is accompanied by the prestigious Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra and its current conductor Simon Rattle, successor to Claudio Abbado, who himself inherited the position upon the passing of Herbert Von Karajan. Once again, Lang Lang proves that one can have a global career, be in tune with one's time, and remain at the heart of one's art - classical music. His sole objective is excellence, the artistic challenge. At this level, only the greatest are in contact. In this sense, he reconnects with his most illustrious predecessors, including Arthur Rubinstein and Vladimir Horowitz.
