Bad self portraits

Description

Mike Calabrese (drums), Bridget Kearney (bass), Rachael Price (vocals), and Mike “McDuck” Olson (trumpet) formed Lake Street Dive while they were still students at Boston’s New England Conservatory. Each member’s personality and vision of music blend together perfectly. The four Americans’ adventure took another turn at the end of 2012 when the video of their cover of the famous track “I Want You Back,” taken from the EP “Fun Machine,” became an online phenomenon with nearly 500,000 views on YouTube. The band’s strong point is the chemistry between Rachael, “McDuck,” Bridget, and Mike. You’ll appreciate it as much as you’ll love the fusion of their very distinctive styles on their new album: “Bad Self Portraits” is the worthy successor to “Fun Machine.” The country / jazz / pop-soul / British rock / Motown soul blend delivers an explosive result!
