La Mòssa in Italian means movement. La Mòssa, in Neapolitan, refers to the rolling of the hips with the final hip thrust invented by Nini Tirabouchon in the 1920s. La Mòssa is like a curious woman wandering through the world. With her ears and eyes wide open, she seeks what inspires her, what makes her want to tell stories, to sing. She carries with care and determination, in her little bag, the songs that have touched her. La Mòssa laughs and dances the lightness of tarantellas. She sings a timeless melody from Italy, Limousin, Réunion, Brazil, or Albania… She is moved and shivers as she brings to life the emotions of each story told. La Mòssa also appropriates certain songs meant for men, delighting in finding different nuances and interpretations. She composes, plays with her influences, her origins, her musical loves.
