The vertigo of faith with the fervor of La Chapelle Rhénane! First of the last words of Christ, which the voices of La Chapelle Rhénane address to us like an arrow shot. All our concentrated humanity is its target. Otherwise, it would not be worth loosening tongues to speak the unspeakable. The voices, whose amplitude reveals the depths from which they arise, project toward us the tightrope on which all of Haydn's oratorio will later advance. We are seized with vertigo, but we will cross the space with the voices as both path and lifeline. Founded in 2001 by tenor Benoît Haller, La Chapelle Rhénane is an ensemble of solo singers and instrumentalists. Their project is to devote themselves to reinterpreting great works of the European vocal repertoire, with the aim of revealing in these works the emotion, humanity, and modernity capable of captivating a wide audience.
