The Austrian duo Kruder & Dorfmeister forever marked the 1990s with their downtempo, hazy electro. Even though they only produced two original maxi-singles, big names like Count Basie, Bomb The Bass, Alex Reece and United Future Organization had some of their tracks remixed by these exceptional producers. Their productions on compilations from Ninja Tune, SSR and Wall Of Sound are considered milestones in the trip-hop genre. While they were working for DJ-Kicks and their first album, they refused to do remixes for U2, Grace Jones, Elvis Costello and the Fantastic Four!
