DORF (vinyl)

Description

Geneva post-punk phenomenon Kraum returns with their explosive debut album! After captivating audiences with their raw energy and uncompromising sound through two singles released over the past six months, Kraum is back, ready to shake your old bones with their highly anticipated debut album, 'Dorf', set for release on Les Disques Magnétiques on June 21. In just one year, the dynamic Geneva duo, Fabio and Alexey, has undeniably made its mark on the Geneva music scene. Embracing a DIY ethic and a no-compromise attitude, Kraum explores themes such as human-machine relationships, the absurdity of the contemporary world, and the deterioration of human bonds with fervent, unapologetic intensity. Drawing inspiration from iconic bands like Kino, Joy Division and Grauzone, as well as contemporary artists such as Molchat Doma and Noir Boy George, Kraum creates a sonic universe that transcends temporal boundaries. 'Dorf' promises a visceral journey through cold and austere landscapes, pulsating rhythms and haunting melodies that linger long after the music has stopped. From the mysterious allure of 'Maskin' to the unsettling beauty of 'Raumn' or the powerful hyperpop atmosphere of 'Radio Moscou', the project presents a myriad of moods and emotions, all wrapped in the same free spirit. With tracks sung in a mix of Swedish, Russian and French, Kraum's music captures the essence of existential anguish and punk emotion, resonating with audiences hungry for authenticity and raw feeling. Get ready to listen to 'Dorf' and experience the raw power of Kraum like never before!
