“BUT HOW CAN YOU NOT LIVE IN APPEARANCE WHEN YOU KNOW YOU HAVE TO HAVE TO BE” Originally from Parc aux Lièvres in Evry and a former member of Mafia Spartiate, Kodes now leads his career solo, never far from the guys from the 91 like 2Zé, Koba, Bolemvn, or his friend Zola. He is raw talent, but very quickly and at a very young age, he feels the need for emancipation. Everything speeds up in 2019 with the demolition of the Bat7 tower, Koba’s success, his tour of sold-out showcases and clubs, or even the discovery of California with Zola. His “Méchant” freestyle series gets off to a strong start, with millions of views in total. These tracks are gathered on a first EP, “La B”. In 2020, his social media takes off and Kodes appears among the team of the best rappers of the moment. The outlines of a future star of the French rap scene then begin to take shape. Kodes finishes his first album, crafted like a very beautiful object and whose first notes echoed at the end of 2020. He takes Cheu B to Dubai in the middle of “mala”, then follows up with Zola on Réunion Island.
