Description

KNOBIL is a variable geometry vocal Jazz project (solo, duo, trio, or quartet) created by the Lausanne-based double bassist, singer, and composer Louise Knobil. Influenced by Esperanza Spalding, Charles Mingus, and Oscar Pettiford, she uses her double bass and voice to offer you original compositions with an aesthetic that blends song, post-bop, and glittering Jazz. Nurtured by the songs of Joni Mitchell, Ella Fitzgerald, and Kadhja Bonet, Louise also gives a prominent place to singing and the story she tells.
