L'étoile Thoracique

Description

Carrying on her back a universe filled with songs, baroque elements, and absurdity, the young lady captivates and unsettles by showcasing finely crafted music that shines a light on her instinctive desire to confront her own endings: "There is always a contrast in what I write because I like to unseat myself; when everything is in harmony, it can quickly become heavy." This is evident in the 13 tracks that fit together on L’Étoile thoracique, a loose tapestry on which the artist presents herself with the airs of a concerto with arachnid contours. This album has also received several honors: the Rapsat-Lelièvre Prize 2017, the SOCAN Song Prize, the long list for the Polaris Prize, four Félix awards at the ADISQ Gala (Album of the Year – Critics' Choice, Album of the Year – Alternative, Songwriter of the Year, Record Production of the Year), as well as a nomination at the 2018 JUNO Awards (Francophone Album of the Year).
