Description

The creation of the KLM Trio was initiated by Philippe Macé's idea to bring together sound conditions, timbres, and spaces for a musical construction that relies on the artistic potential of the three involved improvising musicians and composers, as well as an unprecedented instrumentation: trumpet/bugle, vibraphone, double bass. There was also the desire of each musician to bring their original sounds closer together in a fusion space, enriched by their personal journeys at the heart of jazz, contemporary music, and world music. Finally, there was their wish to propose music built on real-time exchanges, a collaborative listening experience, and music nourished by the musical paths already accomplished by each of the three.
