'Off the Soundboard: Poughkeepsie, NY, 1984' is the fifth volume in KISS's official bootleg series. It was recorded on November 28, 1984, during the 'Animalize' tour at the Mid-Hudson Civic Arena in Poughkeepsie, New York, featuring the short-lived lineup of Paul Stanley, Gene Simmons, Eric Carr, and Mark St. John. 'Off the Soundboard: Poughkeepsie, NY, 1984' is the only known soundboard recording featuring guitarist Mark St. John. Although he participated in the recording of the 'Animalize' album, he had to leave the tour due to illness, and subsequently left the band.
