After releasing From Scotland With Love in 2014 and Diamond Mine in 2011, an album in collaboration with Jon Hopkins and nominated for the Mercury Prize, King Creosote presents with Astronaut Meets Appleman lively rock tracks and surprises with the use of bagpipes and harp. The album was recorded at Analogue Catalogue in Ireland in County Down, specifically on the Isle of Mull at An Tobar and at Chem 19 studio in Glasgow. With Astronauts Meets Appleman, King Creosote evokes the emergence of love and life, the moon, the stars, nothing and everything, mathematics, the ticking of clocks, and the beating of the heart.
