Cantante e tranquillo - CD sous fourreau

Description

Pour Cantante e tranquillo, András Keller and Manfred Eicher conceived a subtle program composed exclusively of slow movements. They drew from the works of J. S. Bach, György Ligeti, György Kurtág, Alfred Schnittke and Alexander Knaifel recorded by the quartet over a period of more than 20 years, completing the composition with new recordings of slow movements from Beethoven's opus 130 and 135 and other works by Ligeti. A nostalgic charm spreads from these pieces which, without having been composed together, seem to have been intended for one another. Interprets : András Keller violin
Zsófia Környei violin
Zoltán Gál viola
Judit Szabó cello
János Pilz violin
Ottó Kertész cello
lexei Lubimov piano
