After Crazy Rhythms Of Mata Hari, Shake Your Bones, the Cool Cat Club, and Born To Hula!, Stag-O-Lee unveils the fifth volume of its DJ-Set series. As with the previous ones, this is a condensed 80-minute set by a legend of the guild, Keb Darge. Keb Darge discovered rockabilly in the early 80s during a weekend at the Dirtbox in Bournemouth. At that time, he was only interested in northern soul. It wasn't until a decade later that he truly began to collect records, but after stepping into this wonderful world of melodies, he threw himself into it wholeheartedly. Back then, he was fortunate enough to have a record stall at Camden Market, right across from the stalls of Boz Boorer and Neil Scott. They, along with other important collectors such as Dave Vickers, Barney Koumis, Cosmic Keith, Jim Fox, Dave Crozier, and many others, taught him everything he needed to know about rockabilly. He made only one major discovery of this musical style that none of them knew, "Little Bit Lonesome" by Charles Ross, but Keb was already quite happy to buy all their recommendations, which were for him exciting new finds. Keb Darge had already made several rockabilly compilations in the past; unfortunately, the typhoon in the Philippines in 2013 destroyed his village, forcing him to sell most of his collection. Atomic Rhythm! features some of his favorite records that he had never been able to release before. Darge dedicates this compilation to Dave Vickers and Cosmic Keith, two collectors, now deceased, who had a huge influence on his life and musical tastes.
