Founded in 2018, the Dream House Quartet brings classical and contemporary music into entirely new forms with seamless ease. The members draw on decades of musical expertise: the piano-playing sisters Katia and Marielle Labèque, one of the most renowned piano duos who have never confined themselves to a single genre, are joined by Grammy-winning guitarist and composer Bryce Dessner, and by composer, musician, and producer David Chalmin, also on guitar.
Together, they perform daring commissions from visionary composers and major contemporary works from the past half-century. Following their eponymous digital EP released in 2023, the quartet now presents a brand new album, coinciding with their November 2024 tour. Titled *Sonic Wires*, the album features works by Steve Reich, Philip Glass, Bryce Dessner, David Chalmin, Sufjan Stevens, Caroline Shaw, Timo Andres, David Lang, and Anna Thorvaldsdottir.
