You don't change a winning formula, and By Pass follows in the sonic and musical lineage of its predecessor. The same sticky synth layers, the same raw vocals capable of voluptuous flights, KaS Product still navigates the murky waters of a nervous and unhealthy cold wave, somewhere between the bile of Suicide and the gothic melodies of Siouxsie. And the melodies are still there, as in the impressive "Tina Town" and "T.M.T," among the most successful tracks of an album that holds up remarkably well and also deserves attention for its detours, like "Taking Shape" or "Tape" at the end of the record.
