Deeper Well

Description

Considered one of the best singer-songwriters of our time, Kacey Musgraves has four albums to her name, soon to be joined by a new release. The music of Deeper Well, the fifth album by the six-time Grammy Award winner, is almost chimerical. Acoustic guitars, strings and synthesizers, warm basslines and plenty of space for Musgraves’ silvery voice. On the album, the thirty-year-old singer takes stock of her life and priorities, acknowledging what nourishes her, what drains her, and even examining the childhood she left behind on the road to where she is today. Saturn returns, cardinals embody a deceased friend, love is given and taken, streets rush by, a new love blossoms, jade bracelets serve as talismans, life lessons emerge, details define everything, the woods are a refuge and New York City serves as a beacon.
