Sangria

Description

"Sangria" is certainly the most personal and intimate album by the band JUR. All the tracks were written in a very short time and during an extreme moment in life. Writing at that time was vital. It's the first time. It's a true studio album. We created music and songs without worrying about the final result on stage, accompanied by Antoine Éole, an arranger addicted to electronic music. Unlike the last two albums of the band, which sounded more acoustic (the live album for "Il était fou" released in 2018), "Sangria" is more DIY, more electronic, closer to "Ladrona" (JUR's second album), from the time when we didn't really have a band. Freddy Koela (Lhasa de Sela, Bob Dylan, Jacques Higelin, Willy Deville, etc.) followed the development of this album as a "friend" and plays with us on 4 tracks. Bernardo Sandoval, who has always made us vibrate, joined us in the studio to sing and play with JUR. Never has an album release meant so much to us.
