After their first album, Big White Moon, which was mainly about giving the best possible shape to songs that mostly existed before the trio was formed, Little Ones is the album of a united group that knows exactly how to get the best out of the sound it can produce. Big White Moon was released just before the first lockdown, which means it couldn't be promoted on stage. This frustration brought the group closer together, and their rehearsals became true moments of communion, all the more precious since they didn't know when they would be able to perform live again. Thus, they played together a lot, and their sound refined. Most of the songs were written during this process and tell the complex situation of being confined in a small Parisian apartment with a two-year-old child. Nevertheless, Little Ones is an album of hope, bright and generous. To document this beautiful group sound as best as possible, Julien Bitoun and The Angels went to record at the Black Box studio, cut off from the world for four days in the Anjou countryside. Arnaud Bascunana was once again in charge of the sound, and the entire album was captured on tape in live conditions, with a few overdubs that add spice without altering the basic recipe. The result is a chronicle of a time that needs bright music, and a trio that finds its magic formula.
