The vast majority of the repertoire gathered here comes from the very rich library compiled at the end of the 17th century by Gustav Düben, organist of the German church in Stockholm. It is here that the only known copy of a Confitebor tibi Domine by Claudio Monteverdi is found. Other composers like Bernhard and Rosenmüller also have very close ties to Italy.
