In 2015, he posted his first tracks on SoundCloud. It was in 2017 that he began to make an impression with his EP Juice Wrld 999. A title that refers both to his birth year (1999) and the number of the beast upside down. Entirely produced by NickMira and Sidepce, the project showcases Juice Wrld’s talent: his sense of melody, his lyrics on the edge of emo, and an innate talent for songwriting. Hip-hop, more than any other music, ignores the rules. If the movement is still young, the kids who grew up with this music are now the ones making it. Those same kids who grew up listening to pop, rock, punk, and who today blend all these genres together. Take Juice Wrld, this 20-year-old rapper from Chicago draws his inspiration from rock and mixes it with his main influence, his city’s Drill scene, for a result that is nothing short of explosive.
