For over twenty years, JP Soars has been building a reputation in the very way roots music is made: night after night, on stage, delivering boundless energy and a blend of roots music that moves effortlessly between blues, rock & roll, Latin rhythms, country, and gypsy jazz, never confining itself to a single genre, always guided by his feel. This musical vision comes to life in Gypsy Blue Revue, a collaborative project with renowned violinist, singer, and songwriter Anne Harris (Keb Mo & Taj Mahal, Otis Taylor, Cracker): a mix of writing styles and instrumental virtuosity, set against a backdrop of Southern soul, blues, bar rock, and eclectic folk, recorded "all together in the same room. We just wanted it to sound like a live show."
