«Envol» is an album that began its creation in 2017 by the three musicians and singers of Joulik. They created together these woven, felted, cheerful music, sailing between arrangements of traditional music and compositions with borderless inspirations.
«Singing in languages we do not speak is like flying far from our lands, and we return filled and nourished by the elsewhere. In the imaginary language, a universal aspect is created, we cannot give it a name, nor sometimes even a meaning.
There remains a third language, that of sounds, strings, wood, souls. For this one, there are no words, but a great emotion, devotion, recognition. These 11 pieces that have taken root in our hearts, pushed through our instruments, came to life over the course of concerts and spread their wings to your ears, we offer them to you as a time of flight, as far as it is close to here.
