Les éléments

Description

Ce double-album is an invitation to explore the forces of Nature, depicted with such vividness by European composers at the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries.
Jordi Savall records for the first time Les Elements by Jean-Féry Rebel and demonstrates his mastery in the baroque orchestral repertoire, at the head of a Concert des Nations that combines beauty of timbres and finesse of articulation. New recordings of works by Locke, Vivaldi, Marais, Telemann and Rameau - a varied repertoire where Jordi Savall has already left benchmark versions - form the welcome complement to this colorful introduction. An airy recording highlights the warmth of the timbres without excessive resonance and allows each instrumentalist to shine.
