Foreigner

Description

After releasing 2 EPs that generated over 100 million streams, Jordan Mackampa, a native of Coventry but raised by a Congolese mother who always spoke to him in French, is set to release his first album "Foreigner." A new voice in British soul pop, Jordan Mackampa follows in the footsteps of Sam Smith and Rag'n'Bone Man, but with a certain something that touches the heart; undoubtedly, it's authenticity... His indie tracks are infused with sounds that come straight from his history, his journey, and the cities he has lived in over time. Inspired by his mother's love as well as the greatest soul musicians: Marvin Gaye, Bill Withers, and Curtis Mayfield, Jordan blends his timeless voice with catchy melodies that serve sensitive lyrics, creating a hybrid style of folk tinged with soul.
