NIGHTCLUBBING, the 5th album by Grace Jones, has become a classic of the 80s. Recorded at Compass Point studio in the Bahamas, it was released in 1981. For the muse of Jean-Paul Goude, surrounded by heavyweights like Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Barry Reynolds, Wally Badarou.. this is the album of recognition. It takes its name from the eponymous song composed four years earlier by David Bowie for Iggy Pop. This album contains the amazing single I've Seen That Face Before (Libertango) which achieved great success upon its release, blending reggae rhythms and tango with the notes of Astor Piazzolla's accordion. It also features the first version of the track Demolition Man, written by Sting and which would appear a few months later on Ghost In The Machine by Police.
