In 2010, Pete York (Spencer Davis Group, Hardin & York) suggested to Jon Lord that he take part in a concert entitled Rhythm & Blues Allstars. Following that incredible evening, the group of friends decided to form the "Jon Lord Blues Project", made up of six talented musicians and, above all, friends who have known each other since the 60s/70s. Six successful musicians whose musical past reads like the "Who's Who" of blues and rock history: Deep Purple, Spencer Davis Group, Chris Rea, Whitesnake and many others. During this exceptional performance, recorded at the Rottweil Jazz Festival in 2011, Jon Lord, Miller Anderson, Maggie Bell, Colin Hodgkinson, Zoot Money and Pete York played classic blues tracks as well as more contemporary compositions by Deep Purple or Tom Waits among others. Unavailable for a long time, this little musical gem for all blues fans is once again available in Deluxe CD format.
