In 2010, Pete York (Spencer Davis Group, Hardin & York) invited Jon Lord to participate in a concert titled Rhythm & Blues Allstars. Following this incredible evening, the group of friends decided to form the "Jon Lord Blues Project" made up of six talented musicians who are above all friends that have known each other since the 60s/70s. Six successful musicians whose musical past reads like the "Who's Who" of the history of blues and rock: Deep Purple, Spencer Davis Group, Chris Rea, Whitesnake, and many others. During this exceptional performance, recorded at the Rottweil Jazz Festival in 2011, Jon Lord, Miller Anderson, Maggie Bell, Colin Hodgkinson, Zoot Money, and Pete York played classic blues tracks as well as more contemporary compositions from Deep Purple or Tom Waits, among others. Unavailable for a long time, this little musical gem for all blues fans is now available in Deluxe CD format.
