"D.T.K" ("Down To Kill") by the Heartbreakers is the fiery live counterpart of 1977 to "L.A.M.F." ("Like A Mother Fucker"), considered a classic punk album. Formed by Johnny Thunders and Jerry Nolan of the New York Dolls in 1975, the band influenced the British punk scene, joining the Sex Pistols, Damned, and The Clash on the infamous "Anarchy" tour. "D.T.K." was recorded by Track Records at the Maison Rouge mobile studio on March 15, 1977, in the famous nightclub for musicians. It features Johnny insulting the audience, a notorious behavior. This was a dress rehearsal for the "L.A.M.F." sessions that were set to begin the following week. Initially released in 1982 as a 10-track album, it was remixed in 2005, and five additional tracks were found on the 2-inch multitrack tapes. Now, the album contains the entirety of the two sets played that night, totaling 15 uncensored tracks. The cover includes notes from journalist Kris Needs and period photographs.
