Description

The Boroughs is a brand new Netflix science fiction series from 2026, produced by the Duffer Brothers, the creators of the global hit Stranger Things. Created and produced by Emmy Award winners Will Matthews and Jeff Addis, the series takes place in an apparently idyllic retirement home. The monstrous encounter of a grieving newcomer pushes him to join a band of unlikely and marginalized heroes. Together, they uncover a dark secret that proves their retirement is more dangerous and that they are more formidable than one might imagine. Alongside Molina (Spider-Man: No Way Home, Three Pines), the cast includes Geena Davis (Thelma & Louise, A League of Their Own), Alfre Woodard (Clemency, Salem's Lot), Denis O'Hare (American Horror Story, This Is Us), Clarke Peters (The Wire, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri) and Bill Pullman (The Sinner, Independence Day). The music for the series is composed by John Paesano, an Emmy-nominated composer and BAFTA winner, known for his work on Daredevil, Spider-Man, The Maze Runner and Invincible. Drawing inspiration from the classic orchestral soundtracks of the 1980s and 1990s, it blends grand symphonic passages with intimate character-focused moments, reflecting the mystery, history, and emotional depth of the series, while infusing it with a modern cinematic dimension. The soundtrack for The Boroughs is available in a limited edition of 1,000 individually numbered copies, on yellow, white, and red marbled vinyl, and includes a booklet with notes from John Paesano.
