A celebration of the 80th anniversary of conductor Neeme Järvi, Chandos reissues the recordings of the orchestral music of Ferrucio Busoni, with Nelson Goerner as soloist. One only needs to listen again to the Concertino for Clarinet and Small Orchestra by Busoni to be convinced that we are in the presence of a great composer whom the stars of his time, notably in France, overshadowed. Neeme Järvi, at the head of the BBC Philharmonic, and accompanied by soloists John Bradbury on clarinet and Nelson Goerner on piano, significantly contributes with this series of Chandos recordings to rediscover an astonishing composer, worthy of what his interpretations of Bach suggested.
