When Johann Sebastian Bach meets Leopold Weiss, lutenist at the royal court of Dresden The meeting of two geniuses serves as the backdrop for this program: in 1739, the lutenist at the royal court of Dresden, Silvius Leopold Weiss, visited Johann Sebastian Bach in Leipzig. Although on this occasion, Bach probably played the harpsichord, Johannes Pramsohler and Jadran Duncumb dare to reconstruct this meeting: in addition to the grand Suite in A major, BWV 1025, a common work of both composers, we hear works for solo lute as well as the famous Partita in D minor for solo cello.
