Description

After a five-year wait, Joey Bada$$ finally returns with his aptly named album, 2000. For Joey, this album is the natural sequel to his cult classic debut, 1999, a masterpiece that tells the story of a 17-year-old rapper, raised in Brooklyn, who dreams of breaking into the ruthless world of hip-hop. Joey offers his fans 2000, a collection of works that effortlessly describes his oscillation between the triumphs and tragedies that accompanied the realization of his dreams. "Cruise Control" is the album's flagship track. 2000 features appearances by Westside Gunn, JID, Chris Brown, Diddy, Larry June, and Capella Grey, productions by Statik Selecta, MIKEWILLMADEIT, Sean C, and Chuck Strangers, and benefits from the expert hands of Young Guru (Jay-Z, Kanye West, etc.) for mixing.
