Apple Bonkers

Description

First album by the legendary “Tambourine Man” of The Brian Jonestown Massacre! Joel Gion, the tambourine man, whom fans of The Brian Jonestown Massacre know well for his unusual career within the mythical band, delivers here his first album. As expected, we find here a multitude of sounds reminiscent of the 60s, but also a palette of colors and influences ranging from shoegaze, post-punk, to psychedelia, country and mod/beat. Listening to these 10 tracks, one cannot help but think of The Brian Jonestown Massacre, and for good reason: Collin Hegna and Rob Campanella of BJR produced the album. Practically the entire current BJR lineup, as well as members of previous lineups, brought their touch to this record. Notable contributions from Pete Holmstrom of The Dandy Warhols, Ryan Van Kriedt of The Asteroid #4/Dead Skeletons and Jason 'Plucky' Anchondo of The Warlocks/Sprindrift.
