Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, and Eric Johnson launched the G3 Tour 28 years ago, a concept that brought them together on stage for the very first time. In 2024, G3 reunited for a sold-out concert tour in the United States, filmed for the occasion. Titled Reunion Live, this new album is much more than just a live album, as it features a complete set from each guitarist performing their iconic tracks with their own band, followed by a full jam session with all three, including covers of songs by Hendrix and Clapton. Reunion Live is thus divided into several parts with different colored vinyl formats for each artist and a special one for the ensemble. After the recent successes of Joe's The Elephants of Mars, Steve's Inviolate, and Eric's The Book of Making, fans are ready to hear new music from G3.
