Mutant and Paramount Pictures are proud to present the very first vinyl edition of the original score composed by Joe Kraemer for Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation, the fifth installment of the famous espionage franchise led by actor and producer Tom Cruise. Pressed on a double black vinyl of 140 g, this edition includes liner notes written by the composer and by the screenwriter, director, and producer Christopher McQuarrie, all enhanced by a design by Mo Shafeek. Masterful and redefining the franchise, Rogue Nation is the fifth chapter of Tom Cruise's successful saga, as well as the first directed by author-director Christopher McQuarrie. The trio formed by Cruise, McQuarrie, and Kraemer had already collaborated on the film Jack Reacher in 2012, and it is with elegance and style that they accepted this new mission. Kraemer's score offers a perfect transition between the more playful music of Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the much darker tone of the following installment, Mission: Impossible - Fallout. By using instruments from the 1960s to create a vintage sound, Kraemer infuses the score with an adventurous and organic dimension, heavily inspired by the works of John Williams, Jerry Goldsmith, and of course, Lalo Schifrin, the original composer of the Mission: Impossible television series.
