A modal masterpiece bordering on spiritual jazz, driven by a series of excellent musicians: from Richard Davis and Cecil McBee on bass to Ray Mantilla on congas and percussion, along with the distinctive flute and tenor saxophone of Harold Vick. The main voice of this recording comes from the drums of Joe Chambers.
