Different shades of blue

Description

Superstar guitarist Joe Bonamassa returns with a brand-new solo release: Different Shades Of Blue (Mascot Label Group/Provogue), due out next September 22. While Joe Bonamassa has had a busy recording schedule with releases and projects, this is nevertheless his first studio album in two years and the first in his career to feature only original songs. The result is an album that is even more original and adventurous than its predecessors. Indeed, it is a blues record that explores every corner and the different sounds that shape the genre. First, Joe Bonamassa spent some time in Nashville writing with a few big names in the genre, such as Jonathan Cain (Journey), James House (Diamond Rio, Dwight Yoakam, Martina McBride), and Jerry Flowers (Keith Urban). He then went to record at At The Palms studios in Las Vegas under the direction of Kevin Shirley, who has produced Joe Bonamassa’s last 15 studio projects. To support our super guitarist, Shirley brought together a team of musicians with undeniable talent: Reese Wynans (organ, piano), Carmine Rojas (bass), Michael Rhodes (bass), Anton Fig (drums, percussion), Lenny Castro (percussion), Lee Thornburg (trumpet, trombone), Ron Dziubla (saxophone), the Bovaland Orchestra (strings), and Doug Henthorn and Melanie Williams (backing vocals). The result should undoubtedly continue to strengthen his growing reputation in France after two major shows at the Rex in Paris and a Zénith tour in the provinces!
