A passionate tribute to the British Blues Explosion, featuring the incredible music of Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page! Joe wanted to pay homage to his British Blues heroes during a small 5-date tour in Great Britain. The show presented here was recorded at the Old Royal Naval College on July 7, 2016. British Blues has been the musical genre that has most influenced Joe Bonamassa. From a very young age, Joe fell in love with the hard blues rock sound that emerged from Great Britain in the 60s. More specifically, he was captivated by the guitar sound produced by the three heavyweights of this scene: Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, and Jimmy Page. These three guitarists share a common history of having played in the Yardbirds, but they have also been major pioneers of rock and blues rock. Joe fervently believes that future generations of blues musicians must continue to explore the music of these three icons in the history of blues. The British Blues explosion at the end of the 60s indeed created a bridge between blues and rock, two popular musical genres that have greatly mattered over the last century.
