Over and Even + Demos (Deluxe Edition) - Vinyl

Description

Originally released in 2015, Over & Even is the album that revealed Joan Shelley, recorded in Louisville with her neighbor at the time, guitarist Nathan Salsburg. Praised by NPR Music and the Los Angeles Times as one of the albums of the year, it also received four stars from Rolling Stone, which described it as a collection of folk reflections of great mastery. This expanded edition offers the original album as well as eight previously unreleased demos, recorded solo by Joan Shelley. These intimate versions were shared only with Nathan Salsburg so he could learn the songs.
