Beautiful life

Description

This new album by saxophonist Jimmy Greene, Beautiful Life, is dedicated to the memory of his daughter, Ana (6 years old), a victim of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut last year. On an irresistibly supple rhythmic foundation (Christian McBride-Lewis Nash), a voice, a guitar, and a symphonic ensemble are added as needed, all in astonishing symbiosis with a Greene oscillating between, if you please, Stan Getz and Joe Lovano.
