Suite aux succès de ‘This Was’ (1968) et ‘Stand Up’ (1969), Jethro Tull était de retour en 1970 avec ‘Benefit’, son troisième album, plus Rock et matiné de Blues. Contenant ‘With You There To Help Me’, ‘Play In Time’ et avec l’arrivée aux claviers de John Evan, il fut le premier à permettre au groupe de dépasser le million d’exemplaires.
Inclus dans cette réédition :
L’album original et ses enregistrements associés remixés en 2013 par Steven Wilson, de nombreuses versions singles mixées en mono et stéréo, le concert ‘Live At Tanglewood’ de 1970 (mix stéréo inédit par Steven Wilson), et le live ‘At The Aragon Ballroom, Chicago 1970’ en mono.
Sur le DVD 1 : le remix 2013 de l’album en DTS, Dolby 5.1 surround et stereo 96/24 LPCM, ainsi que les flat transfers de l’album original en 96/24 LPCM.
Sur le DVD 2 : le concert de 1970 ‘Fillmore at Tanglewood’ en vidéo (nouveau mix audio de Steven Wilson en 2020 stéréo and 5.1 surround).
Dans ce coffret au format DVD, un livret de 100 pages avec de nombreuses photos et des commentaires sur l’album, dont l’essai de Martin Webb de 2013.
