On your own love again

Description

Jessica Pratt is part of this new generation of West Coast freak-folk artists who move alongside Tim Presley and White Fence and admire Ariel Pink. Her first album, released in 2012 on Presley’s label Birth Records, had been produced by Craig Gotsill and noticed by Pitchfork, Consequence of Sound and PopMatters. Very quickly, Jessica Pratt was compared to Joan Baez. While her very distinctive voice does indeed recall the offbeat corrosiveness of 1960s American folk and California classic rock, it is more in line with the 2000s freak-folk movement. Jessica Pratt is now unveiling her new and 2nd album On Your Own Love Again.
