Jesper Kyd and the team at IO Interactive agreed on a change of instrumental direction for the intentionally grander, more mainstream sequel Hitman 2: Silent Assassin. Diving head-first into the world of orchestral melodrama, Kyd worked with the Budapest Symphony Orchestra and the Hungarian Radio Choir to imbue the second Hitman game with a sense of conflict and splendor. His signature is still intact in the live-recorded orchestrations: strong melodies, catchy rhythms, and harmonic influences from around the globe. The first game's characteristic groovy electronica rounds out the soundtrack, incorporating elements of world music to suit 47's globe-trotting escapades.
