After writing the duology *The Three Musketeers*, directed by Martin Bourboulon, Alexandre de la Patellière and Matthieu Delaporte are tackling another cult work by Alexandre Dumas and are, this time, stepping behind the camera with genuine visual and musical ambition. The original music, entrusted to Jérôme Rebotier (*Le Prénom*, *Le meilleur reste à venir*), is a central element of the film with powerful and epic orchestral themes (*Le trésor*) counterbalanced by darker and more introspective compositions (*Le Château d'If*). Haydée Dorul's song, a powerful and sensitive moment in the film, is also featured.
