Jeroen Van Veen

In C

Description

Terry Riley is one of the creators of the minimalist music movement. His most famous work is In C. In it, Riley develops a repetitive musical section that creates a hypnotic sensation, a musical formula that inspired many composers and musicians after him. On this recording, Jeroen van Veen uses 2 grand concert pianos, 3 electronic keyboards, a clavichord, 4 synthesizers and several other instruments, recording the musical sections one by one.
