After their 2015 debut album, "Womandile", which garnered the Italian quartet much praise from fans and critics, Jena experienced many ups and downs, from frantic live shows to personal problems and line-up changes. In 2021, the band rose from its ashes and their new album, titled Graboid, marks not only a rebirth of their sound but also their highly anticipated return to the heavy music scene, stronger than ever.
The band's new sound is evident, reflecting the strong bond of a new line-up: powerful, decisive, and never trivial. Influenced by old-school "fast and dirty" hard rock and heavy metal, particularly by the 90s Southern US metal scene, which includes bands like Down, Crowbar, Corrosion Of Conformity, and Pantera, Jena combines the heaviness of sharp metallic riffs and vibrant mud grooves, an addictive dose of heavy stoner and blues, and the powerful vocals of frontman Guido Richini.
