Désir d'insolence/Sunburst Limited Edition

Description

The one who shook up the top 50 in the 80s (with her hits "Toute première fois," "Johnny, Johnny") is releasing a new album in the fall of 2000: "Désir d'insolence," her seventh album, which she mostly writes and composes. Insolent she is, taking on poems by Paul Verlaine ("Chanson d'automne"), Guillaume Apollinaire ("Le Pont Mirabeau"), and Alfred de Vigny ("La Mort du loup"). The synthetic atmosphere she gives them punctuates an album that is overall quite rock, where her lyrics have a taste of disillusion, as seen in "Le Monde change."
