To celebrate the creation of Rhapsody in Blue in 1924, French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet releases the album Gershwin Rhapsody in collaboration with Michael Feinstein, the ambassador of the Great American Songbook. Popular Gershwin melodies are featured alongside the world premiere recordings of four rediscovered Gershwin songs: "Graceful and Elegant", "Dance of the Waves", "Sutton Place" and "Under the Cinnamon Tree". The program also includes a medley based on Rhapsody in Blue and a Gershwin-style setting of Vincent Youman’s classic "Tea for Two", and closes with "Jasbo Brown Blues" from Porgy & Bess.
