Description

A mere 26 years old and with a dazzling start to his career, Jean Rondeau has given the harpsichord a major showcase, thanks to his musical talent, fervor, and independence of spirit. He chose to record 15 sublime Sonatas by Scarlatti, true peaks of the keyboard literature. The result is exceptional in its lightness, liveliness, and emotion. A recording made by Aline Blondiau in the wonderful acoustics of the Salle de musique de la Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland, on a Jonte Knif & Arno Pelto harpsichord from 2006, inspired by German models.
