Plays rock'n'roll hits in Boogie Woogie

Description

Jean-Paul Amouroux did not go directly from Mozart to boogie woogie. He went through an intermediate period, rock'n'roll, thanks to Bill Haley and his « Rock Around The Clock », heard in Aurillac at a fairground.
And it was only after having bought all the rock'n'roll records on the market that Pete Johnson's « Death Ray Boogie » radically changed his life!
By his own admission, this record devoted to the genre's greatest hits also represents for him a delightful return to the blessed time of his adolescence. Since boogie woogie is at the origin of rock'n'roll, no one other than Jean-Paul could better pay tribute to this exhilarating music.
François Fournet, passionate about rock'n'roll and a remarkable guitarist, was the man for the job. The excellent Enzo Mucci (double bass), Claude Braud (tenor saxophone) and Simon Boyer (drums), blues specialists, became just as indispensable in this adventure.
Through its energy and exuberance, rock'n'roll music was often extremely creative, bringing new blood to American music of the fifties. This particularly energetic record is proof of that.
